On Sunday, the Cadillac Formula 1® Team will contest its first race on U.S. soil. The striking MAC-26 Grand Prix cars of Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas won’t be the only powerful Cadillacs at the Miami International Autodrome, though. Making its debut today is the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1® Collector Series, the first car from an American automaker to wear official Formula 1® branding.
Cadillac will build just 26 examples of the CT5-V Blackwing F1® Collector Series, marking the historic year the first Formula 1® Team from an American automaker joined the grid.
“The CT5-V Blackwing embodies the very best of Cadillac track-capable performance. With the F1® Collector Series, we’re channeling the energy and innovation of Formula 1® into a road-ready sedan that feels every bit as special as our entry into the sport,” said Mark Reuss, President, General Motors. “Each of the 26 vehicles is curated to be a centerpiece in any collection and a true celebration of Cadillac’s new era in Formula 1®.”
Using the award-winning CT5-V Blackwing as a starting point, Cadillac designers and engineers have created something inspired by the performance and aesthetics of the MAC-26 racecar. With its livery of Midnight Stone Frost and silver, gray, and black accents, Formula 1® and FIA logos throughout, the CT5-V Blackwing F1® Collector Series looks ready for the track.
Of course, it is ready for the track. In collaboration with GM Motorsports, Cadillac engineers upgraded the CT5-V Blackwing’s supercharger to get 685 horsepower from its 6.2L V-8. That engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission, and each CT5-V Blackwing F1® Collector Series comes equipped with the Precision Package, which includes carbon-ceramic brakes and chassis upgrades for even more track capability.
The Grand Prix in Miami is one of the newer additions to the Formula 1® calendar, first held in 2022 and quickly establishing itself as one of the sport’s premier events. It's one of three Formula 1® rounds held in the U.S., and five across North America, reflecting F1®’s huge growth in the region.
Cadillac will hit Miami in a big way, and not just with the CT5-V Blackwing F1® Collector Series. Jungle Plaza in the Miami Design District will become Cadillac Formula 1® Team Miami Headquarters on Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 3. There, fans will be able to check out Cadillac V-Series vehicles, shop for Team merch, and cheer on Perez and Bottas during the Sprint Race, Qualifying, and the Grand Prix. Perez is set to make an appearance on Saturday, as if anyone needed another reason to go.
It’s still early days for the Cadillac Formula 1® Team, with the Formula 1® Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2026 being just the Team’s fourth race weekend. That doesn’t mean there isn’t anything to celebrate, though, and with the CT5-V Blackwing F1® Collector Series, Cadillac is bringing the perfect party favor.
